秋の窖窯焚き

前回の投稿からだいぶ時間が空いてしまいました。

10月末～11月頭にかけて窖窯を焚きました。
暑くも寒くもなくちょうどよい気候で、天候にも恵まれました。

「窯焚き」というと優雅なイメージを持たれる方もいらっしゃるかもしれませんが
実際はとても神経を使い、ほこりと汗にまみれながらの大変な作業です。

It has been a long time since my last post.

I fired the Anagama kiln from the end of October to the beginning of November.
The weather was neither too hot nor too cold, and I was blessed with good weather.

Some people may have an image of elegance when they hear the word "firing a kiln."
In reality, however, it is a very hard job that requires a lot of nerve and involves getting covered in dust and sweat.

直近の展示は、ならまちギャラリーたちばな「これでのむ　うつわ展」です。
今回の窯焚きでの新作も出品いたします。

The most recent exhibition will be at the Naramachi Gallery Tachibana.
New works from this kiln firing will also be exhibited.
